Married couple celebrate Valentine’s Day by exchanging Whatsapp messages

A married couple has celebrated Valentine’s Day by sending each other slightly sentimental Whatsapp messages this morning.

The couple, who have been married for eleven years, stopped doing cards around six years ago on the basis, as husband Michael describes it, “Valentine’s Day is a load of bollocks”.

Wife Louise explained, “I meant what’s the point, I see him every day. I sent him the heart eyes AND the heart kiss emoji this morning, that's enough. Plus have you read some of the messages in those cards? ‘You complete me’, ‘I couldn’t imagine life without you’, it’s a bit full on!”

Michael continued, “Yeah, I mean she’s alright – we got on alright yesterday, we’re getting on alright today, and we’ll probably get on alright tomorrow. There's no need to go overboard."
