Hyde United vs. MK Dons show BBC still a serious sports broadcaster

The BBC have cited the Hyde United vs. MK Dons match as evidence that they are still to be taken seriously as a sports broadcaster.

On Friday night the BBC showed League One MK Don's 4-0 FA Cup first round victory over non-league Hyde United. A spokesperson for the BBC remarked, "It is exactly the type of fixture we needed to prove we can still go toe-to-toe with the BT Sports and Skys of this world."

The spokesperson continued, "The fact we're able to put on this type of fixture and still afford charismatic pundits like Phil Neville and Danny Murphy shows we're still a sports broadcaster to be reckoned with."
