Off-shore tax avoidance schemes were quick to distance themselves from the cast of Mrs. Brown's Boys today, saying they did not want the good name of tax evasion to be associated with such a terrible TV show.

A spokesperson for the cell company in Mauritius stated, "We had no idea where the money was coming from - we had never seen the show before and didn't realise how bad it was. This is hugely embarrassing for us and we'd like to put this one down to an error of judgement."
