Student would have gone to Oxbridge if he had applied and got 3As

A student studying at Southampton Solent has blamed "institutional elitism" for not getting a place at Oxbridge, despite not applying and getting piss-poor A-level results.

Stephen Lewis, 19 from Sunderland, explained, "People from where I'm from don't get the same chances to go to Oxbridge. Except one girl in my year that went to Cambridge - but she was a total loser".

"I'm pleased with where I've ended up though", Lewis concluded, "Southampton Revs absolutely goes off on a Tuesday night."
