Couple finalise plans to avoid trick-or-treaters

A Leicestershire couple have finalised their plans to pretend not being home this Halloween. With a week to go, Diane and Richard Watson have wasted no time in making their preparations to avoid interacting with local trick-or-treaters.

Their plans include turning the TV off, sitting in darkness and going to bed at 8pm. 

Richard Watson commented, "We got caught out last year, we were clearly in and didn't have any sweets. We ended up handing out olives. We debated buying sweets this time around but I think we're making the smart choice."
