A parody site. But more believable than most actual news these days.

Facebook add 'Looking for validation' feature

Facebook add 'Looking for validation' feature

In a bid to reduce the number of 'Looking for recommendation' posts, Facebook has introduced a new 'Looking for validation' feature.

The new feature introduced this week is designed for those Facebook users who 'Look for recommendations' in a desperate bid to remind friends of their existence. Now users no longer need to pretend to be looking for a plumber,  gardener, or things to do in Lisbon and instead can get straight to seeking the recognition of their peers.

Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg explained the rationale behind the new functionality, “We’re seeing more and more people using the ‘Looking for Recommendations’ function to just let the world know they exist. Let’s be honest – Google and Trip Advisor would be much more helpful."

Zuckerberg continued, “So we thought – let’s just skip all that shit and get straight to it. Once someone makes a ‘looking for validation’ post, users can then click an ‘I like you’ button. We’ve completely streamlined the process of nurturing insecurities and we’re very proud of it”.
